Interim|Finance|Strategy

What gives me passion about my job is acting as the link between finance and all other stakeholders (in a permanent position or as interim professional). Position finance in a way that the business itself can excel in the commercial process. Communication, business driven, hands on and no-nonsense are all terms that resonate with me.

After my study I’ve started gathering experience in the audit sector and a few years later it became clear to me that I wanted to use this knowledge in a profitable business setting. Being fluent in Dutch, English and German helped me to do this both in national as also international context. In a relative short period of time, I’ve seen a lot from financial and operational processes by managing projects where change was the key to success. As example from ERP implementation to (re)financing, from VDD to merger and/or divestments, from cost accounting to strategy conversion and from IPO bookbuilding to bankruptcy. Almost all companies that I’ve worked for operated in a high demanding market and/or fast changing environment and had their own production (with multiple plants), R&D, service and global sales outlets. The one thing that they had in common was that they all required strong business acumen and knowledge of how to translate numers into business understanding.

I’ve gained relevant experience throughout diverse industries, a.o.: Audit & consultancy, logistics, pharma, mining, renewable energy and the chemical sector. During that period I’ve had the luxury to work for family owned, private equity owned business as well as stock listed companies. Next to the financial & operational experience, I’ve also gained broad experience with IT, HR and legal.
